'Twas The Night Before Christmas...

Is it just us, or is there something so magical about Christmas Eve, that it might even be better than the big day itself? The excitement fizzing and sparkling in the air, the kids peering through the window at the starry sky trying to catch that first glimpse of a snowflake, or listening for the distant sound of sleigh bells.

We're still hoping we'll be able to join our friends for a Christmas Eve cocktail at our local, but with everything looking a little uncertain again this year, we thought we'd put together some at home Christmas Eve activity ideas, to make sure it's still a magical day, come what may.

Cocktail Time

Whatever happens, we're still having that Christmas Eve cocktail, even if we end up enjoying it at home with the dog! So grab a glass, and maybe pull a little inspiration from one of our cocktail books and unleash your inner mixologist.

Pamper Night

With the stress of Christmas shopping finally behind you, and the kids tucked up in bed, why not indulge in a little me-time, and make sure you're feeling relaxed, fresh and glowing, ready for the big day. Have a bath, put on a face mask, and enjoy a little pampering session with a glass of bubbles. Bliss!

Get Cosy

Nothing says Christmas Eve like a cosy evening on the sofa. Cuddled up with the family in your softest PJ's, watching your favourite festive film, and sipping hot chocolate under a warm blanket.

Christmas Baking

You can't go wrong with a bit of Christmas Eve baking. A great activity for keeping children busy, whilst being enjoyable for grown-ups too! Why not bake some Christmas cookies or gingerbread men, and set up a messy decorating station for the kids?

Story Time

There's no better time to curl up with a good book. Pick up a children's favourite and read to the kids to help them drift off to sleep, then indulge in a little me-time with something relaxing that's just for you.
